Meet Grace

SUPPORT WORKER - CLEANER - LAWN & GARDEN MAINTENANCE

“Even a quick mow or a tidy-up can turn someone’s whole day around.”

Grace is a hardworking all-rounder who brings passion, humour, and kindness into every role she takes on — whether she's supporting someone one-on-one, cleaning a home, or reviving a garden with her green thumb and can-do attitude.

  • “Supporting our participants helps me learn from their unique experiences. Whether it’s transforming a wild garden or just trimming a few weeds — I’m proud of every space we help turn around.”

    • Down-to-earth, warm, and hardworking

    • Always willing to lend a hand — or teach a new skill

    • Brings humour and light to every visit

  • Grace is an expert crocheter and loves turning yarn into heartfelt gifts. She also enjoys beach walks with George the bulldog, cooking up new dishes, and lighting a bonfire with palm leaves for fun (and a bit of cleanup!).

  • Most people are surprised to find out she crochets — she makes personalised gifts for loved ones instead of buying things they could just get themselves.

  • “Helping someone isn’t always about tasks. Sometimes it’s listening, sharing a story, having a laugh — or even a good cry. It’s about connection.”

  • “One participant shared her breast cancer journey with me. Her honesty, strength, and vulnerability were incredible — it reminded me we all have hard days, and that supporting one another matters more than ever.”

  • George, her bulldog, wakes her up with a tap and a grunt for breakfast — sardines are his favourite (not hers!). After breakfast, it’s walk time — and George’s joy spreads to everyone he meets.

  • George’s morning tap on the head — it’s his signature way to say “let’s get up and go!”
